Although the origin of coffee remains uncertain, the history of coffee dates as far back as the thirteenth century.  The Ethiopian ancestors of today’s Oromo people are believed to be the first to discover and recognize the energizing effect of the coffee bean plant.  Stories passed from Africa, Ethiopia and Egypt lead to the fifteenth century Sufi monasteries of Yeman, where the earliest credible evidence of coffee drinking and knowledge of the coffee tree appears in ancient records.

From the continent of Africa to the Pacific Northwest Cascades, Mountain Mist is proud to present our Coffee House Quality signature blends.

Inspired by sites and images of Mount Rainier and roasted by Dillanos Coffee Roasters, 2011 Macro Roaster of the year, Mountain Mist has developed a taste as unique to the Northwest as socks and sandals!
